Our creative ancestors used natural products, such as fruits, vegetables, plants and rocks to colour their paintings!

What was used before pencils and paintbrushes?

How are paintbrushes made?

What materials do you have to draw/paint/create with?

Have you ever made paper?

Or your own colours from natural materials?

Once upon a time when we lived in caves..we drew on the walls.. 

One of the oldest surviving maps in the world Mappi Mundi is painted on animal skin!

Today we have posters, photos, and paintings on our walls, which are generally made from paper, that has been made by mixing wood pulp and cotton! 

Sounds like a science experiment!!
